Laura Kemppainen starts as Syklo’s Account Manager

In March, experienced circular economy expert Laura Kemppainen began her duties as Syklo’s Account Manager. In her new post, she will be responsible for Syklo’s business customers and developing services for businesses.

As Laura joins Syklo, she brings her extensive experience, accumulated over a 17-year career at Lassila & Tikanoja, across various waste management-related duties. She has a background in circular economy in sales, expert services and team management. Her specialisation is construction waste. In her previous job, she was focused on developing waste segregation at source and on the practical implementation of the Waste Act, among others.

“Circular economy and materials are changing fast. There are still new things to discover. In circular economy, I’m particularly fascinated with the potential to find new ways to make a positive impact on the environment and the society at large and help increase materials recycling,” Laura Kemppainen says.

Happy to join Syklo’s circular economy team, Laura is looking forward to developing and planning further improvements.

“Customers can contact me in any matters related to waste disposal. In addition to construction and demolition waste and commercial and industrial waste, we accept individual waste fractions. If a company has a new separately collected waste group, it is a good idea to assess its repurposing potential with us,” Kemppainen says.

In terms of customer relationships, Laura will be working closely with Circular Economy Manager Heikki Harju-Autti. Heikki continues to be in charge of municipal companies and material procurement from abroad while Laura will manage business customers, including transport businesses.
