Syklo doubles down on its commitment to pivot from energy production to material recycling

Based on a new competitiveness analysis, our new recycling solutions and our customer service investments help make circular economy company Syklo an increasingly service-oriented partner. Based on a recent survey, 74% of our respondents wanted to expand their partnership with us.

All Syklo’s business operations have taken a major leap forward in the past year. Based on research data collected from our customers, we have improved from the previous year and performed above average in each area of competitiveness.

Investing in a modern plastic recycling plant

According to Syklo’s Managing Director Teemu Koskela, the company is determined to elevate its circular economy operations to a higher level.

“I am grateful for each and every Syklo customer and partner. We have rolled up our sleeves, engaging in continuous development work in cooperation with our customers. This is also reflected in the results of the competitiveness survey. Next, we are going to increase our focus on material recycling in our business operations. We will also dedicate resources to the commissioning of our plastic recycling plant in Hyvinkää. We want to increase the efficiency of plastic recycling to avoid excessive incineration.”

Close customer relationships a priority

In the past year, we increased our customer service resources. It was particularly uplifting to see that 74% of our customers would like to expand their relationship with us. They also happily recommend us to others. Customers’ likelihood to recommend a company is illustrated by an NPS score. We were able to reach a good score (25) already in the previous year, but during the past year it climbed to an excellent 42.

“We want to remain in active dialogue with our customers and we want to be easy to reach. We systematically develop our communications and look for ways to improve our response time and our ability to help our customers,” says Account Manager Laura Kemppainen.

Positive feedback for Oulu for the reception of individual waste fractions

Our customers highlighted the expanded product range and our locations in Oulu and Hyvinkää as definite advantages. On the other hand, responses indicated that cooperation with local small businesses in waste transport is something our customers would also like to see.

“We are already a top recycling solutions provider, and we will be adding new material routes for our customers in the coming year. We are also developing the Syklo mobile app we released a year ago,” says Circular Economy Manager Heikki Harju-Autti.
