Syklo’s Oulu Production Team Strengthened with New Account Manager
Syklo’s Oulu production team has been strengthened as Tanja Jylänki joined the company as Account Manager in January 2026. Tanja works at the customer interface within the Oulu production team and plays a key role in day‑to‑day customer operations, invoicing and load management.
In her role as Account Manager, Tanja is responsible for, among other things, invoicing related to gate fees at the Oulu waste sorting plant and ecopower plant, ensuring the accuracy and quality of load data, and reporting to suppliers. She also ensures that transfer documents are in order and works in close cooperation with the production team.
“The first few weeks have felt really positive. I’ve enjoyed the role a lot, and with the support of my colleagues I’ve been able to get to grips with the basics at a good pace and in a great atmosphere,” Tanja says.
Circular economy and customer work at the core
The circular economy sector is already familiar to Tanja and particularly close to her heart. Her previous experience in sales and customer service roles has made working in a customer‑facing position a natural next step.
“The circular economy genuinely interests me, and I feel very much at home in this field. Even before I started, Syklo made a great impression – the hands‑on approach, the company image and the people really stood out. This role combines customers and the circular economy, which immediately felt like the right fit,” she explains.
Through her long and versatile career, Tanja brings valuable perspective and strong customer insight to Syklo.
“In customer work, I find it easy to relate to customers’ situations and to identify practical ways forward. Having the courage to tackle new things with an open mind has been an important lesson throughout my career,” she adds.
A new city and new beginnings
Tanja relocated to Oulu from Rovaniemi for work and is excited about this new chapter in her life. In her free time, she enjoys walking – sometimes in slightly more unconventional surroundings.
“A fun fact about me is that I enjoy walking in cemeteries. I also worked at Oulun Energia back in the 1990s in cashier and debt collection roles, so in a way the circle has come full turn,” she laughs.
Over the coming months, Tanja’s main goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of her role and to learn Syklo’s operating practices in depth.
